i haven't done too much bike touring. i've ridden from s.f. to l.a. twice, and then i've spent two weeks biking around northern spain and portugal, and also two weeks biking around france. i'm a pretty hardy soul though and spent 5 and a half months walking 2000 miles from georgia to maine along the appalachian trail. so, i'm like a camping pro at this point. ha ha....
the tour de force of being a teacher!
guess it's have to be one of the two week ones...
i have no idea, i bike 100 miles a week right now.
so far i've accumulated three bikes and no cars! i'll be riding a surly long haul trucker on the tour, and i also have a bianchi that i use for road biking, and a 1970's centurian super le mans that i ride to work everyday. it's my beater bike. the bike i used to ride came to a tragic end on the streets of san francisco, but i'm thinking of taking it's old name (la bestia) and giving it to my new bike the surly, or maybe i should call the surly "beast of burden". i'm open to suggestions.
