At the moment am still finding my way around the site.you have appeared to have got it about right. Was beginning to think I was the only one left from the Regt. from the 1950's. Have sent an e-mail to a colleague who was with me in the Sgts mess at that time .Well done !!

I have added some photo's to 8 Sqn Section. The Black and White pics were taken on the plain and our first job I think as a Sqn at Uppavon when we had to lay a "Rubber Runway" .

Just received the link from Pete Markham and have added the one photo I have of my ties with 22 Engr Regt, The site is easy to get round and looks good, just need more photo's and history etc for all parts of the Regts. My days with 52 were colourful and I am not sure if I could add that history without incriminating myself and others but good times were had by all. I can remember the flag had an albatross on it (Flying shite hawk) which was from the RAF and I did hear that the sqn was formed by the RAF at first then given to the Engineers (??)

Regimental website: For many years many among us trained to become masters of the art of camouflage and concealment ( that way there was less chance of having to do any work). Whilst your secret recent visits to the website have not as yet been detected I feel it is only fair to tell you that it is all right to be noticed now, you can leave a message on the notice board when you visit the website Or am I talking to myself?? (keep a sense of humour).

Hi Guys, sorry it took me a while to work this chat thing out. So right now I am back in Norway, just came back from Sri Lanka after almost getting washed away... Pop to Voss the other week, stayed at the Jarl Hotel. Yep it is still there and the place has not changed just the beer is more expensive. I had to smile when I crossed the bridge in Voss. I had a flash back to Scotty jumping off the bridge and busting up his ankle. Anyway, I am going to try and post a few photos it this site. It is good to hear from you all, Paddy, Ian and even Brummy Snape. All the best Mick Hands
