Bosnia and Herzegovina.

24658649 Corporal Barney Dylan Warburton.

Died on the 19th March 1994. Aged 27.

Cpl Barney Warburton died next to the football stadium in the central Bosnian town of Stari Vitez, in 1994. Whilst he was attempting to render safe numerous large TV mines.

 

Barney's memorial stone is situated closely to the site where he died.

On the withdrawal of British Forces from this Operational zone all three plaques were removed and returned to 33 Engineer Regiment EOD in the UK. At the moment a decision has not been made as to where they will be located within Carver Barracks, Wimbish, Essex.

25016578 Sapper Barry John Nicholas.

Died on the 16th August 1994. Aged 20.

Spr Barry Nicholas was only 20 years old. He died during a mine clearance operation in the Central Bosnian town of Gornji Vakuf in 1994.

 
  

His memorial stone is situated adjacent to the main road leaving the town.

On the withdrawal of British Forces from this Operational zone all three plaques were removed and returned to 33 Engineer Regiment EOD in the UK. At the moment a decision has not been made as to where they will be located within Carver Barracks, Wimbish, Essex.

24853112 Corporal Peter Johnathon Bradley.

Died on the 11th September 1999. Aged 28.

Cpl Peter Bradley died whilst dealing with an M79 Heat Hand Grenade, during OPeration Harvest, in the town centre of Bugojno, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Peter's Memorial stands close to the spot where he died.
