Sapper Luke Allsopp and S/Sgt Simon Cullingworth.
Spr Allsop and S/Sgt Cullingworth, died in action, during the Liberation of Iraq.
On Thursday 27th March 2003, Lt Colonel A. Troulan, Commanding Officer of the Regiment, paid tribute to these courageous men: - Luke Allsop was a very capable individual who was well liked in the Squadron, and a valued team member. He had served with Bomb Disposal in Cyprus and Kenya. He leaves behind a loving family and girlfriend Katy.
S/Sgt Si Cullingworth was an extremely exerienced soldier who was in line for promotion, and who's dedication to duty and professionalism won him the respect of everyone he served with. This was the third tour of duty with the Regiment; he had already served as a Bomb Disposal Officer in the Balkans and Afghanistan. He leaves behind his wife Allison and two youngsons aged 8 and 3.
