EXPLOSIVE ORDNANCE DISPOSAL

REUNION.

9th to 11th May 2008.

This will be the second EOD Reunion to be held at Carver Barracks, Wimbish, (CBW)  home of 33 Engineer Regiment (EOD).

The event will commence on the afternoon of the 9th and end on the morning of the 11th May 2008. See programme below.

Its a great chance to get back together with old friends, tell a few tall tales, over drinks and catch up with whats going on at present within the EOD community, in the military and civialian arenas.

There will be squadron displays and Regiment versus Veterans football/rugby matches.

This invitation is open to all who have been involved with military EOD or Bomb Disposal not just 33 EOD. Age or unit regardless, come along and have a good time.

Programme for the weekend is as follows:

Friday 9th May. 

15.00hrs Reception open (Airfield CBW).

Bar open (food available).

20.00hrs Curry.

Saturday 10th May.

10.00 Opening address and photograph.

10.00 to 13.00 Displays.

13.30 Football/Rugby matches.

15.00 BBQ.

19.00 Function.

Sunday 11th May.

11.00 hrs Dispersal.

Accomodation will be provided, for those requiring it. It will be in the form of camp cots, so don't forget your sleeping bags.

A smaller number of cots will be available for the ladies.

To get there by car a map is available for those who have not been before. Parking is plentifull on the airfield. Please arrive whilst the reception is open so you can be booked in and directed to the parking area.

Security measures will need to be put into effect for the Reuinion. Entry will be through the airfield and all on arrival will need to show some form of ID with a picture you will then be issued with a pass for the event. Bags being brought onto the camp will be searched, inconvenience will be kept to a minimum.

Costs, the curry on Friday and the BBQ/Function on Sat are covered in the ticket price, all other meals will have to be purchased at a reasonable price from the cookhouse or bar, including breakfast on Sat and Sun. The costings for the weekend are:

Fri (curry) and Sat (BBQ + Function)  £25 single £45 if attending with partner.

Sat (BBQ + Function) £15 single £25 if attending with partner.

Sat Function only £5 single or £10 if attending with partner.
