Cow stuck in marshland
FIRE crews are attempting to release a cow which has become stuck in a marsh.
One fire engine from Kendal, one from Milnthorpe and a major rescue vehicle are trying to extricate the stricken beast from land on Fish Carling Head Marsh near Heversham.
The crews were mobilised at 4.15pm and the incident is ongoing.
