3. The Mark of the Name of the Beast Revelations 13:16-17 16 And he ( a)causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a (b)mark in their right (c)hand, or in their (d)foreheads: 17 And that no man might ( e)buy or sell, save he that had the (f) mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. a he causeth all,(remember who all is? Those whose names are not written in the book of life) b to receive a mark, a badge of service, a stamp [seal]. c in their hand, keep in mind image here, What was it all about? A lifestyle presented to the people, and so your hand represents a way of life, as in what you do, how you provide for the welfare of you and your family. d and in their foreheads, head represents thought pattern, education, knowledge. The way you think is yet another important function to how a lifestyle is created. e that no man might buy or sell, (will not be able to have the benefits the lifestyle of the image offers, and you will not be able to buy or sell within the realms of this beast system, you wont be able to move in the commerce circle of the beast, but see, Matt. 6:24-34 already told us our Heavenly Father knows we have needs, but seek His Kingdom first and ALL THESE THINGS WILL BE ADDED UNTO US. f name of the beast, a name is a way of Identification. The name of the beast is the Identification of the Beast. On this word my bible references me over to Revelations 14:11, where it speaks of what will happen to those who worshipped the beast, “And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up forever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.” I think verse 17 of Rev. 13 could even read more clearly “...save he that had the [mark of his name]” Take a look at why, In Revelations 13: we have supposedly 5 different phases of the beast. In Revelations 15:2 we have 4 phases. 1) Beast. 1) The Beast. 2) The Image. 2) The Image. 3) The Mark. 3) The Mark. 4) The Name 4) The Number. 5) The Number. Therefore due to the lack of finding the Name of the Beast mentioned elsewhere like this, I believe the Mark should read the Mark of the Name of the Beast just as in Rev. 14:11. The Mark of Yahweh: Yahweh marks His people also. How? By their lifestyle before him. In one place we see that the Sabbath is a Sign, or Mark, between Him and His people. Revelations 7:3 indicates that Yahweh intends to Seal or Mark His people in their Foreheads. In Deuteronomy 6:4-7 we find the Israelites were to bind Yahweh’s commandments as Signs in the RIGHT HANDS and ON THEIR FOREHEADS (between their eyes). Why Because Yahweh wanted His laws to be in their HEARTS. William F. Dankenbring in his article “Are the Old Testament Laws Still in Force Today?” explained this verse very well, he wrote (words in brackets [-] are mine and I made some of his words into bold letters for emphasis): “Is it therefore humanly possible to write down all of these laws, which God commanded them that day, and put them in a “box” to wear on the back of their hands, and between their eyes? Of course not! Nor could they literally put these commands “in their heart,” in a physical sense-- or else they would have had to surgically operate, remove the tissue surrounding the “heart,” and indelibly inscribe all these commands there! God is not speaking in this verse of [boxes]--not at all. He is speaking of ALL of the Law of God being bound up in our hearts and minds, mentally and spiritually, and of them being with us in all our work and activities [Lifestyle]--all that our “hand” does -- and between our “eyes” [Forehead] as being always before us, in our line of vision, never allowed to depart from our sight. The Second & third Myth about this Image revealed: This myth somewhat goes hand in hand with myth #1. However most people I hear referring to this usually say “Everyone will be forced to take this mark or be killed” First off if you read the verses containing the mark, you wont find you will be killed. So where do we come up with that idea? The verse before, V15 of Revelations 13 says that the beast would “...cause as many as would not WORSHIP the image of the beast should be killed.” In some ways this may appear to us we will also be forced then to serve the beast. But only If you are looking at it in ways to save your own life. A powerful scripture we should memorize for the times to come that we may have to go thru is found in Matthew. Matthew 16:24-28 If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.
For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.
Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom. Revelations 14:12-13 “Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of Yahweh, and the faith of Yahshua. “And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in Yahweh from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labors; and their works do follow them.” And people also think you will not be able to buy or sell, Period. But since this is talking about the lifestyle of the beast it would be more correct to assume that buying and selling would also be that of buying and selling within the beast system. And I repeat: “...you will not be able to buy or sell within the realms of this beast system, you wont be able to move in the commerce circle of the beast, but see, Matt. 6:24-34” Click to View phase 4 and the Conclusion.
