A.T.S. BASICS.
For any women wishing to take part then there are several uniforms available. One of which is the A.T.S. (Auxillery Territorial Service). Unfortunatly im not sure of the exact price to purchase all A.T.S. uniform and kit but i believe that for about £500.00 it would be possible to get reasonabley well kitted out with the following items, most of which where issued to men.
Basic uniform consisted of khaki skirt with khaki lisle stockings and battledress blouse and/or battledress trousers and battledress blouse, khaki shirt, cotton tie and A.T.S. cap with badge. For about £200.00+ you can get a reproduction battledress trousers and battledress blouse or if you prefer a khaki skirt and battledress blouse.

£5.00+ A.T.S. cap badge kings crown.
£15.00+. If women wore braces to hold up their trousers then they would have been the same issue as the mens.

£5.00+ Khaki coloured shirt. (Not exact war time but it gives you a rough idea of what to look for, colour wise. No pockets or epalutes were on original A.T.S. shirts.)

£5.00+ For tie.
£5.00+ A.T.S. shoulder flashes, pair of. Sewn on top of sleeve near shoulder seem.
£5.00+ Anti-Aircraft Div patch. Worn by women operating A.A. guns. Pair of. Sewn on underneath shoulder flashes.

£10.00+ Khaki lisle stockings. Worn with skirt and brown shoes only. (The khaki die did eventually wash out turning the stockings into an off white colour.) Shown with khaki tie.
£5.00+ Grey wool socks. Same as issued and worn by the men, if battledress trousers were worn. Khaki lisle stockings were worn if the skirt was worn.
£15.00+ Mens Ptn37 canvas gaiters or brown leather, pair of. Worn with the battledress trousers only.
£30.00+ Brown shoes. At the beginning women were issued with brown officer shoes, worn with battledress trousers and the skirt, before bieng replaced by their own brown pebbled boots with shiny toe cap (shown top left) worn with battledress trousers only.
£10.00+ A.T.S. lanyard, plaited green, brown and beech, worn by all apart from the women in A.A. units. Worn on left of shoulder.
£10.00+ For white lanyard worn on right shoulder for A.A. units only.
