Movies..........so many of then, so little space......... If I, myself, had to pick a movie of the 80's I don't think I can. It would have to be a toss up between The Outsiders and The Breakfast Club. There are many movies that were good, just that those two are the ones that stick in my mind before any others. When I was able to go to the movies on my own I can recall only having to pay $2.50 before 6 p.m. and $5.00 anything after that. To me the video can not ever replace the awe that a movie house can provide, both sound and sight (even if they play commercials before the movies now). Who could forget these movies: Back to the Future, Footloose, St. Elmos Fire, Rad, Sixteen Candles, Taps, Airplane (LOL), Dirty Dancing, Breakin', Ferris Bueller's Day Off, The Wraith, Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Platoon, Big, Willow, Ghostbusters (WOW), Karate Kid, Less Than Zero, Rambo, Lost Boys, Purple Rain, Young Guns, Risky Bussiness, Valley Girl, Krush Groove, Wierd Science and Xanadu. I am sure I missed MANY films, so why not come on over to the movies message board and tell what you remember about the movies of the '80's!!!!!!
