David "Titch" Lewis
It seems that Titch was, in retrospect, well respected within the Regiment. He was, at the time of his death, very young and therefore didn't have time to ground himself and gain any particular reputation, but nevertheless he has been remembered.
After a night out and a win on the horses, Titch murdered in the grounds of Richmond Church for his winnings. A waste of a young life.
Sadly, and ashamedly, he was murdered by two fellow members of 4th; not from 88 it should be added.
He was 18 years old.
Once a Redneck, Always a Redneck!
