Patrick Keiron "Paddy" Moore
Paddy Moore was attached to the 88 Battery from 97 Battery while we were in NI in '86. I was a sprog myself at the time, just turned 18, but I do remember Paddy as a very amiable character.
He died very suddenly while on a CFT in Graffenwehr that same year. By all accounts he didn't give up. His legs didn't stop moving until his face hit the floor.

'I was there when Paddy died. We were on a squad run in Graff, trying to beat the Yanks. It was all of a sudden, and quite unbelievable. Paddy was a fit young man, who was high up in the judo ranks.
'Paddy was well respected by all of his peers and his untimly death was an enormous loss not only to 97, but all at 4th.
'Rest in peace mate.'
John "Nev" King
'Loved Paddy to bits.
He was really kind to me when I came to the Bty and let me listen to his purple rain album and watch the video. Somehow I always thought his slender frame never suited all those tattoos (LOL).
'When he died all I could do was cry. As a young man it was the first time I had ever experienced death like this. I saw him fall and I will always remember Gilly being lost words when he went.
'However, time passes and these are the events that shape you.
'More so, I can remember with a great smile, Ernie Dobbo throwing Paddy around in Judo and Paddy saying, "Is that the best you got old man?" (Not a good idea)'
