Ameraucana's are a unique breed.
Here are some "visuals"
to help the beginner to understand the terms

"Emily" is a black pullet
Bred By Paul & Angela Smith

"Radar" is a blue cockerel

"Slarterbartfast" is a  non-standard color
a "Golden" cock
Because his beard & muff were "shaved", you can see
Ameraucanas have almost no wattle.
He is also a "bred-up" from hatchery stock bird
Although he has "nearly" slate leggs
There is a green tinge to them
His pinkish/white foot bottoms
are more of a green/grey
His eye is more reddish than a normal bay,
He has very light horn colored beak & toenails.

Last, but certainly not least
Ameraucanas lay blue eggs!
