
(the joining together of the two god and goddess creating the new birth) and the waters in it, is the Ultimate source of all Life (one needs but witness a birth to appreciate that!), but it is undirected, formless, chaotic. When rain falls, the dry tundra blooms, but rain may not come for years on end. Conversely, a monsoon may rage for days at a time, or a river overrun its banks, drowning the land under a new-made lake. The sea can be gentle as a babe, or ferocious as a raging lion. There is no controlling it, or truly understanding it. Rann, the androgynous God/dess of the Sea is unpredictable, irrational and irrepressible, but not evil. It is merely Chaos, and the Water of its essence is just its physical form, as Life is its Spiritual form
