| TITLE: New Hampshire NatureNotes
AUTHOR: Hilbert R. Siegler
DESCRIPTION: Hilbert R. Siegler, the author, is eminently qualified to write this delightful book of essays. Chief Biologist of the N.H. Fish and Game Dept., he has a wealth of technical background and practical experience, yet he is blessed with the happy faculty of presenting his subject in an entertaining style. Receiving his master's degree at the University of Wisconsin, he served his apprenticeship under the late Prof. Aldo Leopold. After two years as wildlife biologist in the Research Unit at Texas A. & M. College, he served as Game Manager of a 24,000 square-mile area in eastern Texas before coming to New Hampshire in 1944. About the artist Kenneth T. Fogg, Jr., a student of wildlife, has captured skillfully the intrinsic beauty and action of his subjects in his Pen sketches. He studied art in Boston and has had many showings of his paintings.
