If all else fails and you have to let the smoke out, use this method, it works better!!!!!!!!!!

I haven’t burned anything completely to the chassis, but I did let the smoke out of a two week old MFJ 1270 B TNC, because my electrical outlet had no ground wire on it, and I had voltage feeding back through my computer, and through the serial cable into the TNC. Had a nice bright flash as one of the resistors, lost its battle with the current. Fortunately MFJ gave me a new one, and I added a ground wire to that receptacle immediately. Hmm wonder if I should ground my HF rig? The green wire came out of the crimp connector a few weeks back. I remember reading something about RF safety, somewhere, lol
