In my mind, I join this creative band
Awed that I was given a love for this fare.
With imagery I work to write thoughts so grand
While reading, conversing, and critiquing there.
But only dreaming, I could miss my appointed lot.
For writers are given passion and talent,
Along with the stories to weave and plot.
Stewards of these gifts are called to be gallant.
The writer’s dream island burns its brand in my heart.
I must plow the dream field and brandish my part.
