FELLOW ATC ENTHUSIASTS: Several months after the founding of ATC Exchange, Heidi and George (c’est moi) reviewed the ATC Exchange program, past and present, and prepared plans for the future. We took into consideration past successes and problems and your suggestions and after long hours of deliberations came up with the long anticipated changes. We hope that the changes are actually improvements and that they will improve and streamline the operation, offer variety of themes and at the same time reduce the postage cost by as much as one third. The reduction in the postage cost will be due to less cards being mailed in one batch.
Here are the highlights of the events sponsored by ATC Exchange:
Monthly Swaps
Starting with May 2003 Swap there will be some changes in the monthly swaps to accomodate as broad a pool of traders as possible.
Also Note: George took over hosting the monthly swaps starting with July 2008 swap. Contact George at address below to participate.
General
Each month there will be a Thematic Call and Swap. The theme for each month will be announced by George. The themes will be selected from the suggestions submitted during the past year. Each theme will have unlimited number of entries.
How to Enter and Rules
To enter the monthly thematic swaps send an e-mail to George at george.kovats@gmail.com by the deadline and indicate that you want to enter the swap. George will post the instructions for the monthly swap on its own page. Send the cards to George by the date indicated in the instructions.
Once you have entered a monthly thematic swap, prepare 9 ATCs as specified in the particular swap Call for Entries and mail them to George together with $2 to help defray the postage cost. Please mail your entries by the deadline indicated. You will receive 9 cards back.
There are no limits on the number of participants in monthly swaps but a minimum of 9 entries is required to get one card from each participant. Each participant will receive 9 cards selected in random form the submitted entries if there are more more than 9 participants.
We hope that this will accomplish several goals at the same time and thus kill the two or more proverbial birds with one blow. In addition, we believe that these changes will allow you more time for other swaps or activities and cut down on postage cost of the individual packets.
The monthly swaps will be announced well in advance and will give deadlines, specific submission requirements, additional details, and special instructions as and if applicable to each swap. Monthly Swaps are now administered by George.

Perpetual @C Exchange
For those of you who wish to trade more or less frequently, do not like limits on number of entries or do not care for the pre-selected monthly themes there is the Perpetual @C Exchange. The @C is open to anyone, member or not and there are no limits on participation, number of entries and there are no limits on the contents. However, please note that only one entry per participant is allowed in any one issue. The Perpetual @C Exchange is administered by George. Special Events
There will be several regular special events sponsored by ATC Exchange. These Special Events will be designed for the ATC connoisseur who demands more than just the regular ATC trades. One of these events is the Annual Jam Card Jamboree in September. Original Art special event is in the works. Other regular and "irregular" events will be announced during the year. Personal Trading
ATC Exchange was established to facilitate and organize the trading of artist trading cards among ATC enthusiasts, collectors and other interested parties. Therefore, we encourage the members of the ATC Exchange community to arrange personal private trades with other members. The membership list is accessible to all and by joining this community you are giving your consent to be contacted by other members for the purposes of arranging a private trade or in any other ATC related matter.
Local Trading Sessions
ATC Exchange encourages local trading sessions. The best places to hold these sessions are art galleries and public libraries. Members are encouraged to inform us about the planned local trading sessions and post the details so others living in the area may participate.
Exhibitions
ATC Exchange will promote local ATC exhibitions and will endeavor to participate in international exhibitions.
