Opinions are the reflection of someone's knowledge and taste, and in the World of Opera there are as many opinions as there are people who enjoy this art form. Don't be shy about expressing your opinon but, be mindful that it is only an opinion...yours, ours or someone else's.
All names which contain prefixes such as de, del, di, van, von, etc, are listed under the letter of the main surname (Monaco, Mario del; Beethoven, Ludwig von).
One last thing: For the sake of convenience (mostly mine) and somewhat out of laziness (all mine), foreign accents and other particular grammatical details have been ommited.
