WIN, PLACE, and SHOW

Throughout the nation MAT has done all of that and will continue to do so. He is the "2003 National Veterans Arts Festival Gold Medal Champion"

THE ARTIST Mark A.Thompson (MAT) was born in Seattle Washington on April 1st 1957. He has 4 sisters, 4 parents, and 2 wonderful children. During the cold war (1974 -1977) MAT served in the U.S. Navy Submarine Service. He was honorably discharged and currently offers his services as a volunteer at the veterans hospital in Seattle.

At the ripe old age of 36 he discovered a book titled "Drawing on the right side of the brain" This book opened his eyes to the beauty within all of the arts. Graphite pencil has been his medium of choice. "Pencil artists have to dig deep within themselfs to produce good art, and dig much deeper to achieve notoriety"
