"The Old Dark House"(1932)

Starring Director : James Whale. I know , I know , it is an "ancient" movie , but believe me , when they broadcast it on a local channel , don't miss it ! It's funny , has some genuine scary moments ,and is even (for that decade) slightly naughty . By the way , watch all movies by Mr. James Whale ;highly recommendable ,even for our "modern " standards . Recommended by MSN NicknameBreej, 10/13/2001.

"The Usual Suspects" (MGM 1995)

Starring Pete Postlethwaite; Kevin Spacey; Stephen Baldwin; et al.
This film uses few special effects - none by todays standards - and involves Spacey's character (Vocal) being interrogated in a New York police station by the FBI, recounting events up to the demise of his parteners in crime (so to speak).

Looks boring at first, but immediately you find yourself gripped (and don't realise until almost two hours have passed and the film is over). It relies on good-old-fashioned story telling.

And watch out for the surprise ending - and a bit chilly at that - ENJOY!!

Happy Gilmore

Starring Bruce Willace ( i think).
One of the best films i've seen since 'The Mummy'. I just hope that i've got the name of the person right who stars in it. There is quite alot of swearing in it though so if you don't like that type of stuff, just don't watch it.

The film in question is  mainly about a man who want to be an ice-hocky star, but is'nt good at it. Then his girlfriend leaves him when his career is going know where. As if things couldn't get any worse for him, his grand mother is evicted out of her house for unpaid bills. She is put in an old age home where all the old people are treated badly.
Then he realises that he is fantastic at golf. He gets lots of big checks when he beats some of the best stars in golf.
But The current star in golf will not be beaten so easily...

Salute of the Jugger

Starring Rutger Hauer, Joan Chen. All you Aussies should recognise this...it was filmed in your back yard ;) Post apocalyptic, very violent, excellent action film, worth seeing in every way...and not just to see Joan Chen naked :) Recommended by Buggy , 2/9/2001.
