"Some of the dogs. Left to right Rebel, Cheyenne, Jerry-Lee, Sabre, Vadar & Kira"
My name is Racheal Bailey BSY (Pet Psy), I have owned & worked with animals all my life. I am 33 years old and this is my own business "Akna k9".
Many people ask what the word "Akna" means. The word Akna is an American Indian Inuit word which describes a female goddess of theirs, the goddess of life. I decided to use this word & use it as my business title. It is also a registered affix with the kennel Club & i use this in the naming of my Inuit puppies.
I have always had a passion for animals as did many of my family before me. My Great Uncle Henry Walter Bates was an intrepid explorer of the Amazon & collected many rare species of butterflies & insects which are kept by the curate at New Walk Museum in Leicester & The Natural History Museum in London. My late Grandparents were one of the first people to have Burmese Cats in the UK & also successfully showed Siamese for many years. My first pet was a Siamese cat when i was 4 years old. My interest went from this to owning, breeding & showing hamsters, rabbits, cats & to today with my Inuit dogs. Now my dogs are not only for breeding but run cani-cross, showing & with my work for socialisation.
