It has been over two years now, that my very dear friend Dave Meningen, affectionatley known as "Menge" to his close mates, passed away in January 2006, I still refuse to accept that he,s gone from us all for ever.
There was a memorial Lightening Rods race dedicated to Dave at Arena Essex on 26th March 2006, & his car was driven by Neil, Daves son in law. the trophey was put up by one of his closest mates Pat Kenneally {201 who won it!} of Eastchurch Auto,s where Dave had worked for some years before going into a successfull venture of his own.
He raced Anglia Rods > F1200,s & a few Economy Rod Races, {No17} he later went on to race in the Lightening Rod Formula, {170} he had a very sucessfull time during his racing career, & was a very popular person at most of the old PRI Tracks
