Open your PSP and a new, transparent image. I have mine at 350x350 in size.
Close the Background on your Materials Palette.
Click your PRESHAPES and chose ELIPSE. Remember to have Background closed on Materials Palette, and foreground may be any color. I am using orange to show up.
To activate the Text, click the 'A' tool and then choose the colors you wish the text to be in. I have the background and foreground of my Materials Palette open and for this one, I have two shades of lemon. It will look like this:
When you again Click on your text tool, and put your cursor close to the circle, it will come up with an "A" and as you move it, you will find it will change to an A with an X and a half circle under it.
When that happens - LEFT CLICK and the text box will appear. Type your text. Apply. Okay, so your text is sitting on the circle, but probably to one side -
In the centre, you will see a little red vector circle with a handle. Put your cursor over the handle and it will show you two arrows..... so you are able to turn the text to the position you wish.
Look in your layer palette, click on the VECTORS, and you will see it has 2 layers. One is the text, and the other is the Ellipse.
Click the EYE on the Ellipse layer and you will notice the color circle disappears. You didn't want a line under your text. (In PSP 7, just X off the layer.)
Leave the red X on and Merge all Visible layers.
You are now ready to save it.
You may want to animate it - use it on a graphic.
Here is one I've done with Bevels and Glass in EyeCandy.
Then deleted the letters in layers, saved, and opened in Animation Shop, and have a tag with animation -
