Each section of Khenpo Kunpal's written commentary is carefully explained by Khenpo Chöga from the Shri Singha University of Dzogchen Monastery in East Tibet.
This first volume of the text is prefaced by a translator's introduction of interest to the academic reader as well as introductions by Khenpo Chöga, Tsoknyi Rinpoche, Khenpo Ape, Kyabje Khenpo Trashi Palden, Khenpo Palden Sherab and Khenpo Namdröl.
