The club meets at the Auckland Boys Grammar School old gymnasium, off Mountain Road in Epsom, Auckland (New Zealand) on Tuesday and Thursday nights from 7pm to 9pm. Our season runs from March through to November (it's too hot in the summer). The clubs fees for 2008 are expected to be $160 for the year.

In addition to this the Auckland University Fencing Club will be running on Monday night from 7pm to 9pm at the University Recreation Centre.

In 2008 we will be running beginners classes for adults who are new to the sport on Tuesday nights and the juniors class and teenage beginners will be on Thursday nights. Tuesday night will have more advanced coaching for experienced fencers, with beginners taking part in a simplified version of this couse.
The University club will also be running beginners classes.

Or if you would like information on the New Zealand National Association then look at: http://www.fencing.org.nz/

On the left of this page you will find links to other pages.
This page gives details of the club while The Sport of Fencing gives information on the sport in general and Learning to Fence gives details of the beginners course which we run for new members.

Information on the University club can be found at:

Right - Epee at the Trofeo Carrocio, Italy.

We can supply foils, helmets and jackets for our beginners and there is a beginners coach to show you what to do. We also have electric boxes and spools for more experienced fencers and run regular competition matches. If you are coming for the first time then you will need to wear suitable shoes for a wooden gym floor and tracksuit trousers (not shorts). Don't be surprised if we are playing basketball or soccer when you turn up, just grab someone and say hello! We charge $50 for our beginners course, as we have bills to pay, notably the hire of the hall. After this you may wish to join the club for the remainder of the year.
