an overview 'checklist' for CFIDS If I am right about what my friend is dealing with, she could die at any time and they would just call it a heart attack, like they did for my firend Helen
I've suggested to her & her husband via e-mail that she should take a 'checklist for Chronic Fatigue Immune Dysfunction Syndrome'. Such as the one I've put together or one her doctor wants to use. There was no definition of CFIDS, CFS ... etc until 1989, but the chemical I suspect for causing it ... and its effects have been out there for decades ... and a worse version for centuries: back to at least 1347.
There was a 'flu' going around that hit the church she goes to about 2 weeks ago. This chemical exposure looks like the flu.. That's when her horrible migraine headaches started up again ... with Irritable Bowel Syndrome ... with lower pain on the left side of her back. I think she is dealing with new onset of autoimmune issues that just a little more exposure to 2-butoxyethanol would cause. She has been affected by this type of chemical since before she was born ... and of course, like most of us, gets new exposures as life goes on.
I asked her if she also had FATIGUE. Oh, yes, for years and now she is getting 'the chills' She has had every test under the sun, and her doctor says there is nothing showing up as being out of line. Pres FDR had the chills before he died. So did the Pope
I think the fatigue has to be the fatigue that 2-butoxyethanol would cause: AIHA or IMHA. Autoimmune action on the red blood cells. If doctors LOOKED at the red blood cells they would see various 'out of the norm' issues: fragile membranes, spikes or bites out of them; size is wrong. I'm wondering whether for many years the hemoglobin can appear to be in normal range (before it does drop below normal range), but maybe the red blood cells cannot utilize it appropriately. There also has to be something out of the norm for the RDW of red blood cells; size and age must be wrong.
Diabetes, blood pressure, body temp being out of range are also side effects of this chemical exposure. High or low blood pressure, high or low blood sugar and high or low body temp - 'Part of what 2-butoxyethanol does' Track yours over time, and see if there are changes
I just think it is essential for all doctors in every specialty to look at the big picture and ask more questions.
Well, my friend is getting an MRI (AGAIN) to see what might cause these headaches. I don't think they will find anything, and if they do, it will be just another side effect of what this chemical does, not the cause of what ailes her.
What would someone look like who was harmed by EGBE? and the research?
Some headache examples:
Let's compare 'the headaches of two groups with known and suspected harm of 2-butoxyethanol:
EVOS workers' headaches
Gulf war vets' headaches
The soldiers from WWII, from Vietnam, from Korea have similar health issues and they should be looking at the same chemcial for causing the most of their harm. Better supply air tight goggles along with the right helmets for today's soldiers, too. No blowing up of munitions without the right protective equipment. Fumes of this chemicals in one's eyes is a serious exposure.
