It IS on the list of solvents and pesticides the gulf war troops were exposed to. 2-butoxyethanol and its compound version, diethylene glycol monobutyl ether, are solvents, but also in some odd way ... pesticides. That would explain the endocrine disruption.

Maybe they just don't notice effects of 'the other' ... until the immune system is about worn out from over activity? If you had diabetes or serious FATIGUE that no rest helps ... start up after 'flu-like' symptoms, maybe you were overexposed to a chemical like 2-butoxyethanol. Maybe you were poisoned. What were you doing right then?

- Dr. Rea would be a good resource - Medications & reactions If someone has been poisoned or overexposed to too much of some kind of chemical ... then adding more chemicals (even in medications) can be harmful. They add to one's chemical load Are researchers talking to toxicologists about CFIDS or 'gulf war syndrome' medication issues & reactions to same?
