Paul's Truck in New Jersey..
Photos you won't believe taken by "Blaze"

Recently, I had the HONOR of seeing Paul Sagehorn's BJ & the Bear truck here in NJ!!!!!!!!!!! As you know, Paul painted and matched an actual Kenworth K100 Aerodyne to the one that was used on the series. As it turned out, Milwaukee Kid called me up the night before and explained that Paul's truck was coming to NJ for a delivery. Sure enough it happened!!!! I took the day off . Grabbed my camera and plenty of film and my Pilot rig model AND the top of my BJ trailer roof for The Sagehorns to sign! The truck was in Mount Holly, NJ at McClane's Food Service which is about 25 minutes from my house. My brother came along with me and he's 27. I'm 31. We both grew up watching BJ and the Bear. So we arrived around 3pm at the place. At McClane's, Paul's truck was the only one being loaded and ready to hit the road. I WAS IN SHOCK when I saw the truck!!!!!! There it was. Right in front of me. In NEW JERSEY of all places. Hehehehe. I felt like I was 10 again. We walked right up to it. I must of stared at it for a good 5 minutes perfectly still and then I met the Sagehorns. Unfortunately, Paul himself was back home in Sparta, Wisconsin minding the store. His father(Craig) and niece(Kelsey) drove the truck. Very friendly people. I said I was Blaze and this is my brother. They said they were awaiting to meet me and hear all about our fanclub! So they invited us INSIDE the truck for an interview. I sat my Pilot model down on the center of the dashboard and they took pictures of it. It was AWESOME! They told us of some of the trips they been on. The story of Pauls truck. And we must of bantered questions for an hour I think. Hehe. They were delighted to hear about the website and how well its doing. Then they gave my brother and I business cards with Pauls truck printed on it. Plus some signed photos! They also signed my model roof trailer and then we went outside to take pictures. I took about 30 pictures in all. I took so many detail pictures and with The Sagehorns and my brother & I together. Me in the driver seat. Me hanging out the window like Greg did. All sorts of poses! TOO REAL I TELL YA! The truck is beautiful all over. There it was right in front of me. No model, no episode, no toy, THE REAL THING! They promised to bring the truck to the meet we're having in August 2003. And so the time went by and we said our goodbyes. They were getting ready to head out and onto Philadelphia. BUT they first wanted to stop and visit Atlantic City since they never been there. I told them----drive slowly past the casino's. Hehe. Like the episode---Run for the Money. And then my brother and I left. I'm never gonna forget this encounter. PLUS I'll have pictures to prove it. Hehehe. I want to THANK the Sagehorn family for coming to NJ and having the truck shined up for me to see. And I 'know' they're going to enjoy the gift I gave them in return as well. I hope members here at the club will get to see Pauls truck soon in a state near you!
