Until fairly recent times Baillieston and the surrounding district had a quite small population, it is therefore surprising to realise how many of its people have made a mark on the world, in one way or another.

The following sons & daughters of the district - which include a goverment minister, three Lords Provost, a VC, a Rear Admiral and a pioneering diplomat - most certainly did and it is our privelege to honour them here, not least of all the youngest member - Michelle.

Although this is titled 'Hall of Fame' also honourably included are the not so famous - but certainly most worthy people notable for either signifcant achievement or service to the local communities have started to feature, and rightly so. This page will continue to expand with more personalities being inserted as time allows.

Click on each name to read details of that person.
