S.O.P. Monday-Friday Morning Rhien Main 999 Air Frieght, Air Mobile Units, Rollaways, AirFreight to all Points in Europe Can't ya just smell That Jet Fuel from here.
I have two 999 Air Force Pallets onboard Waiting for the next C-130 to Land to pick up the third one. This was one of many Rollaway Trailers 37th Group had, we would just back up to the Plane itself roll the Airforce pallet right off on the Rollaway trailer. Often times the pilots would never shut the Jet Engines down on the C-130's we really rellied on some good ole Moan Back Hand signals. I can say one thing for the Air Force at Rhien Main, When I was on their Flight line Loading up, Rhien Main had the Safest Crews I think I had ever worked with in my life. At no time did I ever feel unsafe on their Flight Line. Vehicles, Personel, Airplanes, Ramp vehicles, would be moving all around me. But every one performed surperbly in an orderly manner. The Flight Techs Guilded me on and off the Flight Ramps what they said went.
Company Jeep, Taxi, Curtiosy Vehicle, This was the Vehicle that picked us up from the Motor Pool When we came in Late after 5:00 and Brought us to the Barracks.
It went on P.X. runs, Pizzia Delivery Runs, Class VI runs, Couple of guys went out on dates in it The Army sure got there Money's worth out of it. I did Notice when it Got taken away, that we never got Company of the year again. That was one of the Greatest Morale Boster's the company ever had. It was a long walk to the motor pool more than 2 Miles I think up & down hill in the snow both ways too. But it was the Ice that I had a hard time with on the bicycle.
This was Dan Kohoe From San Francisco's , Truck at that time. This was the Famos IHC Standby Parking Spot Lot. Notice it snowed behind the truck and not on it. The snow knew better.
The Guy in the Middle is Dean the famos driver before I on Truck 1-2 I do not remember the other two's name right off I'm getting older too. This is the Operations Dispatch office at First Trans.
This was the TTH Office Notice how simple we had it back then Filing Cabinets Desk and Field Phone in the Window very low tech campared to today. He answered to one person the Truck Master. I remember this man But I can not remember his name.

I liked it because it was alot easier to work on.
