SUNDAY
Uli had stayed in Dawn & Jans room so she joined us for breakfast. I think the staff can STILL hear them laughing....We all went to the Adelphi and split up...and met again at 1pm in a bar, waiting for Sue. Just as Sue arrived, Dawn Uli and Jan went shopping so Sue joined George and I in a bar, watching a Canadian guitarist. During the day, we met...split and did our own things to a certain extent. George stayed close by as we walked around, and during the day I met Louise Harrison, Pete Best (again), Alistair Taylor, and re-aquainted myself to Sam Leach and Julia Baird. I did a brief interview with Loiuse which will go out on the show soon. Eventually we had to see Uli off on her train back to Manchester. Lots of Hugs & Kisses...all were sad.
Back to the Adelphi and MORE Bands.... and dancing/drinking. Mike, George and I were left, so we went to the Hotel, got the guitar out and had a sing song with some Irish lads -
4am finish.
MONDAY
Next morning James rolled up, then Martin - we had our pic taken together
and we all made our way to the Albert Dock. George Sue and Martin looked around the Beatles Story, while Dawn and Jan went SHOPPING AGAIN!!! James treated Kat Helen and I to lunch... thanks son!
Meeting at the Beatles Story, we made our way to hear the outside gig by the Australian Beatals, meeting Sandra on the way. Estimates were a crowd of 23-25,000 in Victoria St. I was very pleased and proud for the guys. James had to go early. Afterwards some of us we made our way to the Hotel, with me taking a sideways diversion to the Hare Krishna devotees who were chanting and dancing. I joined Mike George Sue and Martin for a drink, and out came the guitar again - good fun! Later we saw Martin off at the Train Station, and we went to the Royal again, then the Adelphi. bands...drink etc... I called INCA on my 'phone and we all shouted HI and BYE to her. Jan and I left early (4am) leaving George with Nee and Sue.
TUESDAY
By now I was tiring...we ate breakfast and loaded the car ready for the drive home. Jan, Dawn, Sue, Kat, Helen, George , Mike and I walked to Mathew St once again, took in the GRAPES again, and hung around, waiting for the 2.30pm show. But as we had a long drive, I gave our tickets to see the OVERTURES away, and, after saying 'bye to Sue, Kat and Helen, the rest of us drove to see Nee at home. Nee fed us and relaxed us ready for the trip, and when we left, we were all sad to leave Liverpool.
We sang most of the way home, and the car grounded on our drive as it was SO FULL.
We checked e-mails, relaxed, and Dawn treated us to Pizzas. We were still in 'happy mode' all night, and eventually all got to our beds - or sofa in Mikes case!
We were all washed, dressed and packed again by 8.10am and we took Jan to work. I dropped Dawn and George at the Airport, and Mike and I drove around some, eventually taking him to the Railway Station. I then went for a job interview.
The house was so empty...and still is. This whole event (what you have read is a small part) has been wonderfull. I have met friends from the various sites, and am pleased to say they are WHO they are. My video will be circulating around...
Many thanks to all my friends, and also to:
Pete Best - Louise Harrison - Paul Saltzman - Dr LEV - Alistair Taylor - Glenn Mitchell and the Aussies - all the great bands - Alan at the 'SADstone' - Steve at FROM ME TO YOU - and anyone else I forgot! See you NEXT YEAR!?
