Circle of Fire

I recently bought this book on
www.avalonia.co.uk
expecting just another Wiccan book. My views on that has changed.
This is the book that I wish someone wrote ten years ago when I first became interested in Wicca. Back then I tried reading the various books on the subject and found them all to be the same, rehashed Book of Shadows material and Jungian Psychology.
This book is different. It contains detailed instructions on how to perform each part of the Wiccan ritual together with all the symbolism which explains why things are done the way they are done. I was excited at finally finding out what you are meant to be visualising when you call the quarters and what the guardians looked like. No dogma, just facts.
A great find and a bargain at £10!

.
This book is a wealth of information on folk beliefs and traditions, with many interesting facts about the magic of animals, herbs, numbers, weather, tarot cards, etc. Written by one of the wisest and most knowledgeable witches ever! In short, this is a great book!

. This isn't an information book like so many out there but a fiction. It starts in the stone age, maybe even before and it ends in 1985 or around thattime. The history of paganism is included as many of the characters and in fact all of them in the first few chapter are. I suggest you try it if you like reading- its very good! Recommended by
