A film trilogy based on the books by J. R. R. Tolkein. The hobbit, Frodo Baggins (Wood) of the Shire comes into possession of a magic ring, the one ring. This is the ring of the dark lord Sauron. In the Fellowship, a council of nations meets at the Elven city of Rivendell. A fellowship of nine, (including Bloom's character, Legolas Greenleaf) sets out to destroy this ring and stop the dark lord from reclaiming the lands of Middle Earth. In The Two Towers, this fellowship is split into three different storylines. Frodo and Samwise (Astin) meet up with Gollum (Serkis) and draw closer to their destination, Mount Doom. Legolas, Gimli the dwarf (Rhys-Davies), and Aragorn (Mortensen) face the enemy at Helm's Deep. Pippin (Boyd) and Merry (Monaghan) meet up with some very strange and incredible creatures, the Ents, to have their own adventure. In the Return of the King...well...you will just have to go see it!
