TWO LITTLE DUCKS

STEED IS HELPED BY TWO FAT LADIES

EMMA HAS A BALL

A man is chased across a baron scrubland. His pursuers are a bearded young man in a car and an older, stout man running on foot. The hunters are scared off when the pursued man is shot at by a pair of large elderly ladies who are holding handguns as well as their handbags. The corpse of the wanted man lies face down on the unkempt earth.

The usually immaculate Mrs Emma Peel is in her apartment kitchen with her hair protected by a scarf and an apron covering a sleeveless jumper and her favourite beige trousers. She stands at her kitchen sink where she is doing a spot of hand washing. The sound of her front door closing makes her start and she turns towards the kitchen entrance, which is now hidden behind a make-shift washing line, Emma is prepared to challenge whoever may enter. She notices that a black bra drying in front of her has now been embroidered with "Mrs" and "Peel" across each cup. A bamboo umbrella hook pulls the bra down in the centre to reveal Steed's face, "We're needed", he smiles.

Steed takes Mrs Peel's hand and assists her from his parked green Bentley. "Thank you" she says gratefully and looks around the scrubland which Steed has taken her to. "Very romantic", she says sarcastically, "I think that I would much rather stroll along the coast though". "We are not here for larks" Steed replied, now walking towards the corpse of the persued man. "Who was he? One of us or one of them?" Emma asked. "One of us." Steed said," This is MacKye, he was a suspected double agent and the Ministry had been keeping a close eye on him". Emma looked down at the body and wryly suggested that it was "Not close enough". "Whats this?" she opened Mackye's clenched fist. It revealed a pink bingo ball with 22 written on it. "Two little ducks" said Steed, "Quack, quack" was Emma's reply. The pair got up and began to walk back to the Bentley. Emma casually throwing the ball into the air and catching it each time, "What now?" she asks. "I'm off to visit Mackye's partner, Leonard Chumley and see whether he knows anything." Steed declared whilst replacing his bowler onto his head and getting into the car. "And you, my dear Mrs Peel, I feel it is time that you graced the local bingo hall with your pressence. I'll even give you a lift". Emma smiled at him, "What a true gentlemen you are". "There are only a few of us about" Steed replied with a glint in his mischiveous eye.
