PART ONE:     A Posy The View

From My Window - ( a collection of poems)

             _______________

                                 INTRO to POSY

There's always a time in a working woman's life when her job

loses its flavor. Some call it a job burnout; others say it is simply

reaching one's level of incompetence. Whatever it is to each one of us,

such a time is certainly one that could bring out the best, or the worst, in

us. Or both - as it did to me.

The following are some of the 'literary' products from the best in

me at those times I was struggling to keep my balance amid the

increasing chaos of a wiredrawn, bedeviled workplace. Twenty-two of

these poems were written in inspired frenzy for a period of only ten days.

Considering that I wasn't a practiced poet, that sure was an achievement.

The rest of the poems came intermittently later, as the mood dictated.

Remembering now how easy it was, then, to write these poems, -

the glow of inspiration perpetually stimulating my imagination, and

rousing my appetite for belles-lettres - is still a cause for my own

amazement. Even the matters of rhyming and rhythm delighted me as I

didn't have to agonize over them. They simply popped into their places

in my mind, like magic, at my command.

I have grouped my poems according to my perception of their

messages. I'm sure you'll readily agree with me when I say that they are

not meant to challenge nor stun your intellect. They are only as deep as I

have allowed myself to delve into the complexities and nuances of living.

Therefore, they are easy on the mind and warming to the heart. I hope

they really are, to you, my beautiful reader.

And as for the worst that my job tedium brought out in me, I

choose to forget that for now.
