A Ballad Of Poetry

Dedicated to:

The constant struggle of man to write about his life experience that can give joy, laughter and pleasure to those who happen upon his works.

About The Author

The Author, June Colbert Bowman-Sims,
is a native of the Chicago, Illinois; a City whose impressions, influences and character are to no small extent reflected in the poetry you are about to read. After the death of her husband, all available spare time was devoted toward Literary expression - specifically her Poetry. The poem "The Cranes"' was published previously in the year 1975....representing the completion of the Author's first literary effort.

Nurse June

  In addition to being a widow, a mother, a grandmother, a great grand mother, Mrs. Bowman-Sims is a Licensed Cosmetologist and a Licensed Practical Nurse. These professional accomplishments are supplemented with an Associate Degree in Accounting from Kennedy King College, and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Roosevelt University. These were followed-up with additional graduate work there; - to round those scholastic endeavors at that point in time.

Here is a sample of the Authors creative expression: Enjoy!!!

*** A Friend ***

When trouble seems to have no end,
it's mighty good to have a friend.
One you can trust, tho' thick or thin.

Giving their support and confidence too,
yet hesitates not, in helping you;
while always there, your troubles through.
