Definition of African-American

1. Of or pertaining to the Black race. An ethnic group who's origin began with the Slave Trade in America.

2. Belonging to a sub-racial group, who was not recognized or counted as men, in what is now the United States of America, for hundreds of years.

3. Descendants of African Negroes. Country of origin on the African Continent unknown.

4. Offspring of captive enslaved African people, born on American or, what is now, United States soil.

5. Genetics spread across all racial and ethnic lines. A mixed race group who has at least one ancestor who was enslaved in America, and/or what is now the United States during the slavery era.

6. Current genetics most likely include that of the American Indian, Black African, White European, Yellow Asian, and other indigenous groups.

7. People of color: Skin color may range from black brown, to red, to yellow, to white, and/or anywhere in between.

8. Hair extremely curly to straight and wavy. Color varies.

9. Eye color varies. Could be blue!.

10. Nose may be thick, flat, and wide; or, could be thin, narrow, and pointed.

11. Lips may be big and thick, or thin and narrow.

12. Height, some members over seven feet tall.

13. Natural born citizens of the United States. National Origin is African-American American.

14. When members of this group are asked their race, the response is usually I'm just Black and/or Mixed Race.

Prediction:   All members of this group are encouraged to reach back and embrace their slavery ancestor as the link to the past, which unite present and future generations of African-Americans. When this is done, there will be immediate improvement in economic conditions, for this under represented ethnic group, in all aspects of the United States society.
