Remember to be Helpful and clear away snow from your local fire hydrants. Parents please assist where needed. Thank you, enjoy the snow day and be careful. Joe C. | | | From : | Scoutmaster | | Sent : | Friday, December 5, 2003 9:58 PM | | To : | Scouts and Parents | | Subject : | A Scout is Helpful | | To all Scouts, We just received our first deposit of snow. The snow plows are busy plowing and possibly burying fire hydrants that is critical in fighting fires. Let's go out there and adopt 5 fire hydrants around our neighborhood and shovel them out. Clear a 1 foot path around the hydrants so a fireman can access them in case of emergency. Let me know where they are on Wednesday so we can account for them on a map. Let's plan on performing this task at every snow fall.
To all Scout parents, You may want to accompany your Scout in performing this task. This is a good community service project that the Scouts can be proud of.
