Steve gets kewltrack points for a day of paddling when he wasn't even there. Steve tipped me off to a 3' level and 90 degree weather on the FishCreek Friday night! Making for one of the best days of paddling I have every had! If it wasn't for Steve I would have been padding flatwater in the scorching sun of the Lehigh! Sorry you couldn't join us.

Dylan was the only one to truly test his mettle at the lowheaddamdeathtrapthing at the Mongaup put-in. From past experience I knew better than to go into the middle of the hole, so I did my sissytime hoedown on the corner. Dylan however flipped in the center of the hole, and then got windowshaded twice more. We all thought he was going to swim, but he gamely fought his way out. Dylan wins round one of the Holetime Hoedown!!!

Mike M ran Cascade Falls on Keuka Outlet twice with excellent form. It was the eddy below that tripped him up.

After watching a rare Tommy C pencil, flip, and roll at Cascade Falls, Chris decided to give it a shot anyway. The curler at the bottom ofthe sluice got him, but he recovered and rolled up just in time to fall into the seam semiupright which was a very good thing. He ended up swimming but thankfully not injured except for a few bruised knuckles.

I think this is a first for Phil...... 1. He actually did NOT pencil on Cascade Falls and..... 2. Under close scrutiny......his cheeks were NOT puffed out I think the Boof Move has finally come !

What is possibly a first descent, Geren ran the spillway of the Lackawanna State Park dam. A slide that is roughly 40-50 feet high total. He ran it clean and did a great job. Congrats Geren! He pretty much took it down the middle, maybe slightly to the left.

Jay and Jeff not only took pictures and video of me running a sweet big drop but they also carried my boat up the hill and set safety! Thanks! Also, Jay and Jeff had nice lines on the first drop in Little Rocky Glen. Geren

Mike M did the Cliff Dive on the Lehigh to a large audience of rafters and boaters. Entry was a bit Jay-like with a face plant and flip, but rolled up smiling to our relief and the rafter's cheers.

After seeing carnage from Bill and I, they were about to skirt or portage Haystacks so I offered up some kewltrack points as an incentive, but they didn’t bite on the offer. At that point it seemed like it would be easier to sell a ketchup pop-cycle to a woman in white gloves, but somehow Tommy C talked them into running it at the last minute. Nice job guys!

Miranda had two great combat rolls on RR today, the first at the drop just below Yellow Dog Bridge. She could be the youngest ever to paddle RR.

Jeff ticked off a real nice roll in the middle of a sticky rapid on Roaring Branch. Quick and clean, Jay didn't even know he went over.
