Sayings by Ima ©2004

More will be revealed and it's not always going to be bad news. The fact is, I have learned to take the bad with the good which enhances both.

Sayings by Ima ©2004

"Have you ever been just sitting there and all of a sudden you feel like
doing something nice for someone you care for?
THAT'S GOD talking to you through the Holy Spirit.

Have you ever been down and out and nobody seems to be around for you to talk to? THAT'S GOD wanting you to talk to Him.

Have you ever been thinking about somebody that you haven't seen in a
long time and then next thing you know you see them or receive a phone call from them? THAT'S GOD.

There is no such thing as coincidence. Have you ever received something
wonderful that you didn't even ask for, like money in the mail, a debt that
had mysteriously been cleared, or a coupon to a department store where you had just seen something you needed, but couldn't afford? THAT'S GOD knowing the desires of your heart.

Have you ever been in a situation and you had no clue how it was going
to get better, how the hurting would stop, how the pain would ease, but now you look back on it. THAT'S GOD passing us through tribulation to see a brighter day.

Do you think that this was accidentally posted for you? NO! I was
thinking of you! Please pass this along and share the Power of God. In all that we do, we should totally give thanks and our blessings will continue to multiply."

"The 92-year-old, petite, well-poised and proud lady,
who is fully dressed Each morning by eight o'clock,
with her hair fashionably coifed and makeup perfectly
applied, even though she is legally blind, moved to a
nursing home today. Her husband of 70 years recently
passed away, making the move necessary.
After many hours of waiting patiently in the lobby of
the nursing home, she smiled sweetly when told her
room was ready. As she maneuvered her walker to the
elevator, I provided a visual description of her tiny
room, including the eyelet sheets that had been hung
on her window. "I love it," she stated with the
enthusia! With a smile of an eight-year-old having just been
presented with a new puppy.

"Mrs.. Jones, you haven't seen the room .... Just
wait." "That doesn't have anything to do with it," she
replied. "Happiness is something you decide on ahead of time. Whether I like my room or not doesn't depend on how the furniture is arranged... it's how I arrange my
mind. I already decided to love it "It's a decision I make every morning when I wake up. I have a choice; I can spend the day in bed recounting the difficulty I have with the parts of my body that no longer work, or get out of bed and be thankful for the ones that do. Each day is a gift, and as long as my eyes open I'll focus on the new day and all the happy memories I've stored away, just for this time in my life. Old age is like a bank account, you withdraw from what you've put in. So, my advice to you would be to deposit a lot of happiness in the bank account of
memories. Thank you for your part in filling my Memory bank. I am still depositing.

Remember the five simple rules to be happy:

1. Free your heart from hatred.

2. Free your mind from worries.

3. Live simply.

4. Give more.

5. Expect less."

"Enjoy your quotes of the Day.
----------------------
Quote # 1 of the Day
Imagination is more important than knowledge.
-Albert Einstein, 1879-1955, German-born American Physicist
Quote # 2 of the Day
Failure should be our teacher, not our undertaker. Failure is delay, not defeat. It is a temporary detour, not a dead end. Failure is something we can avoid only by saying nothing, doing nothing, and being nothing.
-Denis Waitley - 1933-, American Author, Speaker, Trainer, Peak Performance Expert
Quote # 3 of the Day
When one door closes another door opens; but we so often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door, that we do not see the ones which open for us.
- Alexander Graham Bell - 1847-1922, British-born American Inventor of Telephone"

"Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star
A Story that Brought Tears to my eyes...
Wishing to encourage her young son's
progress on the piano, a mother took her boy to a Paderewski concert. After they were seated, the mother spotted an old friend in the audience
and walked down the aisle to greet her.
Seizing the opportunity to explore the wonders
of the concert hall, the little boy rose and eventually
explored his way through a door marked "NO ADMITTANCE."
When the house lights dimmed and the concert
was about to begin, the mother returned to
her seat and discovered that the child was missing Suddenly, the curtains parted and spotlights
focused on the impressive Steinway on stage.
In horror, the mother saw her little boy sitting at the keyboard, innocently picking out
"Twinkle,Twinkle Little Star."
At that moment, the great piano master made his entrance, quickly moved to the piano, and
whispered in the boy's ear,
"Don't quit.""Keep playing."
Then, leaning over, Paderewski reached
down with his left hand and began filling
in a bass part. Soon his right arm reached
around to the other side of the child,
and he added a running obbligato.
Together, the old master and the young novice
transformed what could have been a frightening situation into a wonderfully creative experience.
The audience was so mesmerized that they couldn't recall what else the great master played.
Only the classic,
" Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star."
Perhaps that's the way it is with God.
What we can accomplish on our own is hardly noteworthy.
We try our best, but the results aren't always
graceful flowing music. However, with the
hand of the Master, our life's
work can truly be beautiful.
The next time you set out to accomplish great feats,
listen carefully. You may hear the voice of the
Master, whispering in your ear, "Don't quit." "Keep playing."
May you feel His arms around you and
know that His hands are there, helping you
turn your feeble attempts into true masterpieces.
Remember, God doesn't seem to
call the equipped, rather, He equips the 'called.' Life is more accurately measured by the lives you touch than by the things you acquire.
So touch someone by passing this little message along.
May God bless you and be with you always!"
