Disposal of the Fry

At some point you are going to have far too many fish. Before they grow to a saleable size it would be a good idea to find some outlets for them.

A good place to start would  be your local aquarium dealer where you can either swop them for credit or sell them for cash. All of our fish bred here go to our local dealer when they are of a saleable size to the public. At times they won't have enough room to take them, in which case you can either hold them, or approach another dealer.

Another possible outlet is at your local fish club, they will have fairly regular meetings where you can either swop or sell your fish, they will also hold or have details of auctions, although colourful, well grown, less common fish will be more sought after it is still a good place to try.

Another place is here, I will shortly be adding a classified section for people wanting to sell, swop or buy certain fish. Plus a section to advertise second hand equipment. If we get enough members we could also try online auctions in the chat room, with fish being displayed in the photo album prior to the sale. Obviously it would need to be by region, and any transfer of monies made between the parties involved to be in an agreed fashion.
