 If you have any fish related problem please post your message on this board. This message board is given priority and your question will be answered the same day so don't forget to check back to see your reply.

Please remember that the more information you can give the more precise will be the reply so help us to help you by telling us the following. Don't worry if you can't supply all the information simply tell us what you can.

  1. The size of the tank, how long it has been set up and any recent alterations.
  2. The number and approx size of fish, type and status (new or long term resident).
  3. Details of the filtration.
  4. Water parameters, pH, Hardness, Ammonia, Nitrite, Nitrate, and Temp.
  5. If you suspect there is some disease, please list all symptoms including any an all unusual behaviour.
  6. Detail the tank maintenance, filter maintenance and water changes, how much and how often.
  7. Any stressors you have noticed, either external or withing the aquarium, ie, boistrous children, bullying by other fish etc. 

Sorry for the long list, but it will help us enormously to find a solution for you if you can tell us these details.

* We are not animal health professionals. We are hobbyist with many years of experience and all the information in this group is given in good faith by people who care enough to want to help. Definate diagnosis of a disease is only possible if the fish is examined by a professional in fish health, often with the aid of a microscope. All anyone online can do without examining the fish in question is give it their best guess based on the information they recieve and the experience they have in recognising symptoms and disorders.
