Becoming a member is simple and free, simply click join now and you will be taken to an options page asking for you to sign in to your passport. Every member of every group and chat room on msn uses a passport, it allows you to select and keep your nickname and recognises which groups you belong to once you have signed in. Your passport is your email address plus your password. You can create a new hotmail account quickly and easily to use in groups if you don't want to use your current email account.

At the options page you can decide if you want other members to see your email address or not, you can also opt for all messages to be sent to your email account, or read them on the web. You can reply to any message via email or even from a mobile phone.
