Meditation is just one tool to positively transform our lives. Buddhism is a thorough teaching that offers constructive values for every area of our lives. These classes offer an introduction to these values as well as a longer period of meditation and an occasional taste of Buddhist devotional ritual. These classes are open to all. However, we recommend that you learn the two meditations taught on Monday evening prior to coming to this class. This is because each evening will begin with a 45 minute period of meditation.
We hope to stimulate discussion and personal reflection to help to enrich and extend each persons ability to fulfil their spiritual potential. You do not have to be a ‘Buddhist’ to attend these classes. The classes are offered to give you the opportunity to find out more about Buddhism and see if it is of value for your own unique path.
Meditation and the Basics of Buddhism
Each evening will begin with an extended period of meditation. The second half of the class offers weekly teachings on the basics of Buddhism.
This session, we have a special course starting on October 14th for six weeks. You are very welcome to attend any of the evenings but we hope you might be able to make a special effort and make time to attend this course in full. For more details, check the "Buddhism Programme" page.
All classes are held at:
Yoga Room B, Brockwell Lido, Brockwell Park, Dulwich Road, Brixton, London SE24
