Adrian Burragubba is from the Wiri Clan, of the Birri-Gubba language group, of Central Queensland. He is one of Australia's most prominent cultural educators and traditional Aboriginal performers, performing publicly for many years Nationally and Internationally. He has recently travelled to Asian and the US for promotional events for Australia.
Performances include Traditional welcomes for international guests, overseas celebrities and dignitaries.
Adrian performs at various venues for the Brisbane Lord Mayor's office, Premier's dept. and other Government and non-Government events requiring a "traditional" Aboriginal presence.
A major part of Adrian's time is taken up with cultural education programs and Didjeridoo performances in Queensland schools, preschools and kindergartens, High schools and Universities.
Cultural and spiritual programs are also held at festivals and public events. Adrian's presentations concentrate on delivering an accurate and concise account of Aboriginal language, song, dance, stories and music in Queensland.
Adrian strives daily to break down the barriers between the different cultures, and to encourage everyone to learn to respect the need for all Aboriginal people to continue to learn and practice their culture.
