Welcome to BUCKTOWN CAPS FORUM. The forum is a clearinghouse for Bucktown and Wicker Park information about the Chicago Alternative Policing Strategy (CAPS) in Chicago's 14th Police District, Beats 1424, 1432, 1433, and 1434. Join and become member number 40!

     These three beats cover the Bucktown neighborhood. Beat 1431 has been added to the forum because it borders Beat 1432 on the west and makes up the fourth beat in Sector 3 of District 14.

      In Septenber, 1999, better liaison was sought between the Chicago Police Department's CAPS program and the Bucktown neighborhood. It is for this reason that this internet forum was established (http://en.wikipedia.org/Internet_forum). Forums go back to Roman times (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Forum).
