We seek healing and newfound strength; not strength found within ourself, but strength found through trusting in Jesus Christ and allowing Him to direct our decisions and plans. This journey will take us through the Twelve Steps and other materials designed to help us focus on the provisions our powerful Lord offers for recovery. Without Jesus there is no recovery, only disappointing substitutions and repeated failure. We pray that the resources found on these Web-Sites along with the Word of God, the Bible, will help us all better understand who Jesus is and how He wants to heal our brokenness and set us on the path toward wholeness. " Individually we should offer one another our hand and share our own Hopes, Strengths and Experiences... Let us never forget that many members are fighting for their lives... There are over 600 of us... We come with problems including addiction or alcoholism, some active and some that have decades of clean and sobriety time... We have those with Mental Illness and others who come from broken homes, relationships or that have been victimized in other ways who have damaged emotions... There are some trying to stop other addictions such as food, sex or gambling... Our members have different concepts of who God is or isn't! Some walk with God and others are seeking Him... While others still are rebelling against Him! Let us strive to become better people in whatever phase of recovery we're in and may we communicate our thoughts in an encouraging and uplifting manner! I realize that we can and will have differences of opinion and disagrements from time to time... REMEMBER TO KEEP YOUR Principles before your personality... There is one thing more than anything else that will defeat us in our recovery; this is an attitude of indifference or intolerance toward spiritual principles. Three of these that are indispensable are: -
HONESTY -
OPEN-MINDEDNESS -
WILLINGNESS. With these we are well on our way. What You Hear Here, When You Leave Here, Please Let it Stay Here ... love in Christ, michael | |
