Sea. foaming blue sea, primatic waters full of turquoise reflections and blunt waves that slide over the white and gray sands. The South Pacific Region possesses all of this and more. It is an area that extends from the Barú River to the borders of Panamá and from the Talamanca mountains to the Pacific coast.
From San José, it will take you about six hours to get to this regios by the way of the Interamerican Highway. It is recommended that you travel by 4-wheel drive because many of the roads in the area are gravel.
You can practice sports like surfing, snorkeling, kayaking and sport fishing on the beautiful beaches of the gulf and along the South Pacific coast, as well as in magroves or river mouths.
