Branch Meeting, 6 October 2001, St Michael's Church Hall, Kelburn

42 members and visitors attended our meeting in Wellington for a discussion on raising cacti from seed, grafting and propagation by division.

 

Ted lead the discussion, with contributions by Phyllis Purdie and Ray de Veld.

 

Mainly cacti in flower featured on the interest table

 

 

There were no entries in the under 5 years membership cactus competition category, but here are the winners of the remaining 3 classes (Any flowering cactus, Any flowering succulent)

Above- Over 5 years cactus competition, 1st Neoporteria gerocephala, 2nd Neoporteria horrida, 3rd =Strombocactus disciformis  3rd= Mammillaria laui

 

Above- over 5 Succulent 1st Pachypodium brevicaule, 2nd Euphorbia milli (white flowered), 3rd Trichodiadema diademata
