Whatever the comment , the result is a new Conservative government and Stephen Harper still isn't having much luck building the  majority trust beyond those mostly dreaming, naive supporters, voters who simply try to believe in their hearts that Stephen Harper and the others knows best. Had they opened their eyes they too would have clearly seen better.

Many of us were, or are even depressed because we have been, are been deceived, or bullied by some others. We do not have to accept the deceptions, or the false acts of bullies quietly as well. Did you know that most people wrongfully not only lie daily, and often in one form or another, but also that most people can deceive others and do even deceive themselves and often as well. Anyone can be deceived and often now too.You can fool most of the people most of the time, some of the people some of the time, but not all of the people all of the time.It is not just  only the ordinary persons who lie, deceive are even themselves deceived, but even the professionals now as well, Cops- Policemen, Lawyers, Realtors, accountants, doctors, nurses, pastors, politicians as well lie often. Most People are generally now  in one of two  categories,  for they are either overly submissive, slaves of others  or they are overly assertive, aggressive, dictators. Most persons (80%) are basically like sheep, they mostly  are followers, but a small minority( 20% ) of the persons they are like goats, or wolves, they are real  bullies themselves, and these persons should be put into a jail for all of our good now too. The apostle  Paul wrote that we must be watchful that we don't fall into the "snare" of the devil.  "Moreover he must have a good report of them which are without; lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil" (I Timothy 3:7).   What is the snare of the devil?  It is a deception, a lie! Many persons have fallen the  his lies now too. Apostle Paul also wrote that we are to stand against the "wiles" of the devil. "Put on the whole armour of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil" (Ephesians 6:11). "Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith you shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked" (Ephesians 6:16).

Conservative Rule Marred by Secrecy and Partisanship  February 4, 2008 Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s government is putting partisan politics ahead of the best interests of Canadians by continuing its pattern of secrecy and heavy-handed rule, the Liberal Opposition said today. “Never have we seen a more secretive and partisan government in Canada than this one,” said Liberal Opposition Leader Stéphane Dion. “Last week, the Prime Minister gave Canadians yet another example of secrecy when he misled Canadians on an issue as serious as torture. Now, we see more partisanship. The latest victim is the vice-president of the Canadian Wheat Board. “Does the Prime Minister not recognize the extent to which he is harming Canadians by chasing away all of these federal public servants that are doing their jobs?” Mr. Dion was referring to the seemingly arbitrary firing last week of Canadian Wheat Board Vice-President Deanna Allen, which comes on the heels of the Harper government’s decision to fire another senior bureaucrat, Linda Keen, who was in charge of the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission. Mr. Dion said this continuing pattern of silencing critical voices is proof of the Harper government’s strategy to silence the voices of those who oppose it. “The Prime Minister is threatening public servants,” said Mr. Dion. “Mr. Harper is saying ‘Do what I say, even if it's against your mandate. Say what I want to hear, even though it's wrong.’ “Why does the Prime Minister insist on crushing dissent, on silencing those who dare to disagree with him?” Deputy Leader Michael Ignatieff said even the government’s own Information Commissioner, Robert Marleau, has criticised the Conservative government for its heavy-handed approach and its propensity to silence opposition and hide information from Canadians. “Mr. Marleau has protested that a fog has descended over the Harper government's handling of information. Complaints to the Commissioner have doubled in the past year,” said Mr. Ignatieff. “A former Leader of the Opposition once said, and I quote, ‘the public interest should come before government secrecy and information is the lifeblood of democracy.’ Now, who said that? Mr. Harper. “If the Prime Minister still believes what he says, why has he allowed a fog of secrecy to descend on his government and is Bob Marlow the next one to pay for his job with the truth?” http://www.liberal.ca/story_13554_e.aspx

"Taking stock of pledges made, kept and broken as PM's government marks 2-year anniversary Broken promises piling up for Harper Feb 05, 2008  Harper boasted he has kept his promises and will run on his record in the next election. But the list of promises Harper has broken or ignored is mounting.Justice John Gomery, whose inquiry into the sponsorship scandal helped propel Harper's party to power, complained Harper ignored his key reform recommendations to reduce the centralization of power in the prime minister's office.Harper could argue he did not explicitly promise to adopt Gomery's recommendations. But he did promise most would be covered in the federal Accountability Act, introduced in 2006. In fact, many – on all sides of the political spectrum – agree power is concentrated more than ever in this prime minister's office. The Accountability Act – which further curbed political contributions and lobbyist activities, and expanded access to information laws to cover more federal institutions – did not go as far as many expected, nor as far as Harper promised.Citizen advocacy group Democracy Watch says the Harper government has added 10 exemptions and two exclusions to the Access to Information law. It is more difficult than ever to get a response on sensitive issues, let alone in a timely manner, as files are routinely screened and held up in the Privy Council Office – prompting a loud, but unheeded protest by the Canadian Newspaper Association. As for lobbyist controls, the Conservatives promised to order all ministers and senior government officials to record contacts with lobbyists. But draft regulations require only that they log "oral and arranged communication." Liberals say Harper is hypocritical when it comes to cracking down on the misuse of political influence:His aide Dimitri Soudas called a meeting in the Prime Minister's Office between public works officials and a Montreal developer seeking mediation on a contentious building lease deal that is before the courts. Harper defended Soudas.Harper promised public appointments would be made on merit, then killed the newly created independent appointment commissioner's job when Liberals objected to the politically friendly nominee.Throughout the sponsorship scandal, Harper blasted the Liberals for favouring political friends and granting sweetheart contracts. Yet his own finance minister, Jim Flaherty, broke government contracting rules in handing out an untendered contract worth more than $120,000, as reported in the Toronto Star on Saturday. Flaherty yesterday admitted his office did not follow the proper steps. Still, Liberal Leader Stéphane Dion says Harper's record after two years in power is one of "broken promises." Liberals point, for instance, to a Tory promise not to tax income trusts, later reversed." http://www.thestar.com/News/Canada/article/300439

"Speaking of issues, today’s Conservative news release really sparked my interest and I admit, more than a little ire as well. A key section of the release reads as follows: With his priorities clear, Prime Minister Harper has followed through on his promises. Whether by providing direct support for parents to help with child care, taking real action to get criminals off our streets or allowing the hard-working taxpayer to keep more of what they earn, Prime Minister Stephen Harper has proven that he is a man of his word. He believes that government works best when it delivers on its promises and only promises what it can deliver. Well folks, I guess I stand corrected. It seems you don’t really need to have merits in order to brag about them.

I love the line, “…government works best when it delivers on its promises and only promises what it can deliver” Really?

Why then did the Harper government promise never to tax income trusts and then cause billions of dollars in losses to investors when they did?

Why did Stephen Harper promise to remove non-renewable resource revenues from the equalization formula but then back out on the promise and even deny he did so?

Why did Stephen Harper promise to station a 650 person rapid response battalion at 5 Wing Goose Bay and increase the military presence in St. John’s, only to do nothing of the sort?

Why did the Conservatives, while in opposition and on the election trail, push for a full inquiry into compensation for those affected by Agent Orange, fight to have custodial management put in place to protect Atlantic fish stocks and…

I could go on and on although by now I believe I’ve made my point and most of you are probably already adding some of your own favorite broken promises to the list. It’s one thing to have government spin doctors bend reality a little, we’ve all come to accept that as one of the realities we face, like it or not. It’s quite another for a party, especially a governing one, to presente abosolute lies to the electorate on a regular basis. There are those who will say that the great thing about a democracy is that the people get what they ask for by voting a party to power or voting them back out. The problem these days is that more often than not the public really has no idea who or what they are voting for thanks to the regular diet of lies fed to them on a regular basis. My personal encounters, review of Canada's major political parties the last 3 decades too, still led me firstly  to believe, to see  that a corrupt, lying, dishonest Conservative was really not any better than a similar corrupt, lying, dishonest Liberal politician in reality. My further encounter, analysis of the Conservative parties,  both at the provincial and federal levels, was that while they often  claimed to be superior in moral values and behavior over the other parties,  was that they were basically discriminatory, guilty of false partiality and were  false, hypocritical, dishonest in that they too often themselves, personally now in reality they did not follow, uphold what they themselves preached, and had promised too in fact. I was also surprised by the lack of compassion that the Conservatives tend to have towards their fellow neighbors, their false oppositions to legitimate social welfare, oppose free medical care,  when in fact these same persons tend to readily demand, even do accept governmental welfare for business entrepreneurs and Corporations now in fact. This is all mostly mere major unacceptable hypocrisy now on their parts as well. It seems many of the Conservative party members, followers are also deceived as to what their leaders are leaders generally are like. do and believe in. Reminds me of the Conservative provincial premier who was committing adultery while claiming to all to uphold family values too, not just the other clearly immoral alcoholic provincial premier who hypocritically had abused other alcoholics.
